For the better part of the last 18 years Paul Davies has almost completely devoted himself to painting the human figure. His attention to detail from studying anatomical forms to capturing the delicate and subtle tonal qualities created by shadows falling across bodily landscapes has caught the eye of art collectors for years.

Davies however has now embarked on a new inspiration in his life - color! The beautiful graphite and mixed media renderings are taking a proverbial "back seat" to brightly colored oil paintings of still life's and landscapes. The attention to form, tone and line are still present, but now they are combined with vibrant yet tasteful colored hues that jump off the canvas. Davies connects his skillful drawing abilities with his talent for the brush to create an absolute "feast for the eye".
